ArtKids.....Sailboats and easel painting

I always put out 3 projects for ArtKids. Enough to give everyone choices and to spread out the sometimes large group. I also want to offer something that will appeal to boys. Today making and sailing boats was the overwhelming hit among all the little artists!!!

We started the day by hunting for driftwood at the beach ( gotta love our Cape Cod life!)

Pretty shells and rocks for decorating her boat.

Then back home to prep for class!

They kids discovered how different size bases and attachng rocks and shells to their boats affected its ability to float!

Art class  should inspire but not dictate. Today easels were strewn about with small palets of paint available, with room on the palet for color mixing. This is how it looked.

Any visit to the Ranch is not complete without a stroll through the garden.
To pick peas....

.....Sit in the bird nest

...and giggle with friends.

All this fun happened under the watchful eye of retired search dog Ace.
